Four 4s Farms - Foundation American Quarter Horses
Breeding Information

We are very thrilled with our success in breeding outside mares: 99.8% were vet checked in foal either at our farm or upon their return home. We are proud to admit that we have only had two occasions that we needed to actually call on them to assist with the breeding process (that's in more than 15 years, by the way) although they do take care of all the pregnancy checks (with ultrasound) and semen collection/analysis. Otherwise, Ben and I observe the mares regularly, and when they’re ready; we thoroughly wash the mare and wrap their tail before we cover her. All at-the-farm breeding is done by hand under live cover by either Ben or me (only). The stalls are cleaned twice daily and, when weather permits, turnout is from 2 to 8 hours daily. If supplements are requested, you can always count on Ben to ensure they receive them as scheduled without fail. You needn’t ever worry about the feed your horse gets with us because we grow our own to guarantee the quality and safety. We also provide free-choice vitamins, salt and mineral supplement to all the mares and foals. If we wouldn’t feed it to our horses, we certainly won’t give it to yours! Our farm is small, and we can only accept a few outside mares at one time; so your pride and joy is always ensured our individual attention.
